About the Event Join us for Raising Readers Pop-Up Activity Booths outside Programme Room, Bedok Library! There will be three fun-filled booths where young learners dive into the world of reading through hands-on play! Children can embark on a letter-matching adventure, pairing mighty capital letters with their little counterparts! Then, they'll unleash their inner wordsmiths by snapping together popsicle sticks to build their very own words before diving into a world of colour to craft and decode words using colour coding! Each activity turns essential early literacy skills into exciting activities that get little hands moving, minds thinking, and imaginations soaring. Perfect for budding readers ready to explore stories, discover letters, and play with sounds in a joyful, interactive way! This programme is suitable for children aged 2 to 6. Parents are to accompany younger children for these activities. This is a drop-in, drop-out activity so participants may attend and leave the pop-up booths at any time within the stipulated duration of the pop-up booths. Registration and Attendance Registration is not required for this programme. Please walk in. Admission is subject to availability and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance will be taken using the NLB Mobile app. Please download the app (https://go.gov.sg/nlbmobile-attendance) or update it to the latest version. Then, scan the QR code at the venue to take your attendance upon entry. Parents attending with children: please add your child’s profile in the NLB Mobile app before arriving, so you can include their attendance in the submission. It is compulsory for parents or caregivers to accompany their children during the programme. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. Seats may be released to walk-in participants if you arrive late. Photography and Videography Notice Please note that photos and/or videos of this programme and its participants may be taken.
