A Singaporean Story is the hilarious but true story of an ordinary, middle-aged Singaporean who one day noticed the tree at his neighbourhood park and decided to sketch it, for no apparent reason. His first real drawing as an adult. Impressively armed with zero art training. It then spawned a whole art saga as he discovered, to his surprise, a hidden beauty in everyday life that we so often walk past. And he sketched and he sketched. And without him realising it, people started calling him an artist. And thus he became one. This exhibition follows his unexpected journey. But there is beauty in words and stories too. So slow down. Grab a book. Flip to the first page. And you might just find yourself in your own Singaporean story.
