About the Event This programme is suitable for adults. A vibrant, experiential event led by Six Seconds volunteers to help working adults aged 35 to 49 manage stress, strengthen wellbeing, and practise emotional intelligence in everyday moments. Anchored in the festival theme, Permission to Pause, the programme creates a playful space for participants to slow down, notice what they are feeling, and make more intentional choices at work and at home. Designed as a hands-on EQ experience, the session encourages working adults to tune in, reflect, and reconnect with what matters. Through guided activities, reflection prompts, and practical emotional intelligence tools, participants will explore how a simple pause can help them respond with greater clarity, empathy, and purpose in everyday work and life. Grounded in the Six Seconds EQ model and hosted by experienced EQ coaches and facilitators, the session will guide participants through multiple interactive learning zones that bring three core emotional intelligence skills to life: Know Yourself by recognising emotional, thinking and behavioural patterns Choose Yourself by making intentional, values-aligned decisions Give Yourself by connecting with purpose and showing up with empathy for others Blending practical tools such as the (https://www.6seconds.org/tools/tfa/)TFA Cards and Wheel of Emotions with reflection, facilitated conversations, and relatable workplace scenarios, this experiential session helps participants build simple habits for sustaining wellbeing, strengthening relationships, and leading with greater resilience and purpose at work and at home.
