Discover the world of 'vibe coding' - a creative, beginner-friendly way to build digital games using plain English and generative AI. In this hands-on 2-hour workshop, you will step into the role of a Creative Director. By simply describing rules, themes, and mechanics in everyday language, you will learn how to direct Google AI Studio to build custom, playable mini-games right before your eyes. Learn how to create motion-powered games—from a frantic phone-shaking Bubble Tea challenge to a Kopitiam coffee-balancing game—and launch them directly onto your smartphone to play and share with family and friends. No programming background, technical jargon, or prior experience required! What You Will Learn: • Demystifying Vibe Coding: Understand the basics of AI-assisted creation and how everyday conversational English can replace traditional programming syntax. • The 4 Rules of Game Prompting: Learn how to craft clear, effective instructions to guide AI engines (Google AI Studio) to build interactive projects. • Hands-on Game Creation: Step-by-step guidance to build two interactive mobile web games powered by your phone's motion sensors (shake and tilt). Complete beginners and non-tech savvy participants are warmly welcome. What to Bring: • A fully charged laptop with Google Chrome or Safari installed, with internet access. • Participants would need a Wireless@SGx account to access public WiFi in library programme venues. You are advised to set up an account before the programme commences. Registration and Attendance Registration is required for this programme. Please register one ticket per person. Then, scan the QR code at the venue to take your attendance upon entry. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. Seats may be released to walk-in participants if you arrive late.
