About the Event AI is changing how we learn, work and interact online. But as these tools become more powerful, knowing how to use them safely and responsibly is just as important as knowing what they can do. In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore how Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, DALL·E and Gemini are being used in everyday life. Through hands-on activities and real-world scenarios, you’ll learn practical skills such as smart prompting, while exploring important considerations around AI bias, ethics and responsible use. You’ll also put your digital safety skills to the test by learning how to recognise and respond to scams, misinformation, deepfakes and other forms of AI misuse. By the end of the workshop, you’ll learn how to use AI effectively, assess online information critically, and navigate the digital world safely and confidently. Suitable for anyone keen to build practical AI skills and become a safer, more confident digital user. Important Note Access to some free GenAI tools may require participants to log in to their personal accounts. Participants are required to bring their own smartphones, tablets or laptops. Access to power outlets may be limited. Participants may wish to install Wireless@SGx for Wi-Fi access at NLB libraries. Registration and Attendance Registration is required for this programme. Please register one ticket per person. Attendance will be taken using the NLB Mobile app. Please download the app (https://go.gov.sg/nlbmobile-attendance) or update it to the latest version. Then, scan the QR code at the venue to take your attendance upon entry. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. Seats may be released to walk-in participants if you arrive late.
