About the Programme Explore the core principles of improvisational theatre and discover how to sharpen your instincts - both on stage and off. Through the power of “Yes, and”, collaborative storytelling and physical play, you’ll train yourself to think on your feet, react faster and remain present under pressure. Note: This workshop is suitable for participants interested in dance or theatre and 17 years and above. No prior experience is required. Come in comfortable clothes you can move around in. Bring your own water bottle. About The Performer’s Body This signature series is designed for beginners, providing participants with essential skills and understanding of their body’s potential. This workshop series focuses on fundamental techniques, gradually building participants performing vocabulary. By exploring the basics of physicality and expression, The Performer’s Body equips participants with a strong foundation to begin their artistic journey. About Shirin Keshvani Shirin Keshvani is a seasoned performer, emcee and improvisational theatre coach with a dynamic presence on stage and in the classroom. She made her theatrical debut in She’s A Great Way To Fly, a devised piece on the iconic “Singapore girl” directed by Tan Kheng Hua. With her background in theatre, Shirin brings an infectious energy and charisma to the every event that she hosts – engaging audiences ranging from children and students to senior business and government officials. Over the past decade, she has hosted awards ceremonies, festivals and thought leadership conferences across industries. As an improv coach, she has trained people from all walks of life, helping to sharpen their ability to think on their feet and teaching them to tap into their creative potential. Registration and Attendance Registration is required for this programme. Please register one ticket per person. Attendance will be taken using the NLB Mobile app. Please download the app (https://go.gov.sg/nlbmobile-attendance) or update it to the latest version. Then, scan the QR code at the venue to take your attendance upon entry. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. Seats may be released to walk-in participants if you arrive late.
