Programme Title: From Forest Friends to Coral Kingdoms: A Story Adventure Date: 4 October 2026, Sunday Time: 4pm to 5pm Venue: Central Library, Programme Room 1, Level B1 National Library Building, 100 Victoria Street About the Event Join us for a fun and interactive storytelling session where children journey from the vibrant coral reefs beneath the sea to the fascinating forests of the wild. Through two engaging stories – WOOSH: A Coral’s Journey and The Watcher – young participants will discover the wonders of marine life and wildlife conservation, brought to life by trained volunteer storytellers. With a mix of storytelling, visuals, and hands-on activities, this session sparks curiosity, nurtures a love for nature, and inspires children to care for our planet – both below the waves and among the trees. This programme is suitable for children aged 3 to 10 years old. Programme Objective: To teach children about Singapore's marine biodiversity and inspire them to care about our marine environment through art and story writing. Organiser: Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore) Organisation profile: JGIS is the Singapore chapter of the global organisation founded by Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE and UN Messenger of Peace. Guided by Dr. Jane’s simple yet powerful APE philosophy — improving the lives of Animals, People, and the Environment — we empower individuals and communities to make a positive difference for all living things.
