About the Event A Central Arts Library Signature Series. Discover the world of K-pop dance in this accessible 2-hour workshop designed for absolute beginners. Instructor May will guide you through the foundations and teach you a segment of a K-pop MTV song choreography from scratch. This session focuses on fun, good energy, and building confidence on the dance floor—no prior experience required. Walk-ins allowed if there are available slots. NOTE: This workshop is for participants 17 years and above. Only for registered participants. Please come in covered shoes and comfortable clothing. Please bring your own water bottle. About May Dancing since the age of six, May is trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, Girls Style, and K-pop MTV. From 2009 to 2015, she was a competitive dancer, representing Singapore at the 2014 World Supremacy Battlegrounds and clinching 1st place. She has also won multiple K-pop dance competitions during this period. She previously performed as a parade dancer at Universal Studios Singapore. May now choreographs and performs for high-profile commercial shows and corporate events. Certified in ATOD Level 12 Hip Hop, K-Kardio Dance, Yoga TTC (200 hours), May blends technical precision with creativity and wellness. May has over 14 years of teaching experience with all ages. She is known for her bubbly personality and dedication to student growth. She aims to spark joy in dance, build confidence, and nurture positive character building in every class. Registration and Attendance Registration is required for this programme. Please register one ticket per person. Then, scan the QR code at the venue to take your attendance upon entry. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts. Slots may be released to walk-in participants if you arrive late.
