About the Event In today's fast-paced world, many of us find it difficult to switch off, even when we have the chance to rest. Stress can affect not only our mental well-being, but also our emotions, physical health, relationships, and daily functioning. This talk explores how stress shows up in our lives, why our minds often remain occupied by responsibilities and worries, and how feelings such as guilt can sometimes make it harder to prioritise self-care. Participants will gain practical strategies to manage stress, support their mental well-being, and better support those around them. In this talk, you will: 1. Understand what stress is and how it affects our mental well-being. 2. Recognise common emotional, physical, and behavioural signs of stress. 3. Explore why it can be difficult to switch off, even when we have time to rest. 4. Learn practical strategies to manage stress and build a personalised self-care toolbox. 5. Discover simple ways to support both ourselves and others in maintaining mental well-being. Sign up now to explore how stress affects our mental well-being, why our minds keep running even when we try to rest, and practical ways to support ourselves and others! About the Speaker Kaylen Ho has been working in the social service sector for the past 6 years, working with children and youth, and has eventually pursued her Master's in Counselling. Today, as a CREST Manager at Mindfull Community, she supports individuals and caregivers navigating mental health challenges through counselling, case management, and creating spaces for connection and respite. She believes that meaningful support starts with seeing the whole person, not just their struggles. Disclaimer All content and advice shared during the programme are for informational purposes only.
