About the Speakers and Moderator Speaker: Asst Prof Jacqueline Lee Tilley Assistant Professor Psychology and Child & Human Development Department, National Institute of Education, Singapore Jacqueline Tilley is an Assistant Professor at NIE, NTU, and a registered psychologist in Singapore. Her research focuses on mental health among Asian youth, with a particular interest in how achievement pressures shape well-being. She has worked with youth and families in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United States. Speaker: Assoc Prof Saifuddin Ahmed Associate Professor Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Saifuddin Ahmed is Associate Professor at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University. His research examines new media, political communication, and the societal impacts of AI, with a current focus on how AI and algorithmic influence shape political attitudes, behaviour, public opinion, and democratic engagement. Moderator: Dr Wong Hwei Ming Assistant Centre Director and Senior Education Research Scientist Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, National Institute of Education, Singapore Dr Wong is Assistant Centre Director of NIE’s Centre for Research in Pedagogy & Practice and also Senior Research Scientist. Dr Wong has more than 20 years of experience in education research, mainly in the area of assessment practices and literacy, feedback literacy and teacher professional development and learning. Other than research experience, Dr Wong is a registered educational psychologist with the Singapore Registry of Psychologists and a member of the Singapore Psychological Society since 2003. About the series Education Exchange returns with a new season that turns the spotlight on one of the most pressing issues in contemporary life: screen time. As digital devices and online platforms become deeply embedded in how we learn, work and connect, questions about how we engage with screens meaningfully and responsibly are becoming increasingly important for individuals and families alike. Through a series of public talks, this edition of Education Exchange aims to explore how people of different ages can develop healthier, more purposeful relationships with technology, drawing on research insights and real-world experiences to support informed and balanced digital habits. This programme series is organised by the National Institute of Education (NIE) and National Library Board (NLB). Registration and Attendance Registration is required for this programme.
