Culture Club Halloween Supper Club 🎃 A slightly strange Halloween dinner for 30 curious people. For this Halloween edition, Culture Club is collaborating with Anna Ong, creator and host of What’s Your Story Slam, Singapore’s live personal storytelling show. Through her work, she has built communities around storytelling, curiosity and unusually good conversation. Anna is helping bring together guests from her communities for the evening and will also join us to welcome guests. --- On Saturday, 31 October, Culture Club is taking over a private room at a Spanish restaurant in Bukit Timah for an evening of Spanish food, costumes, conversations, and mild existential unease. Over dinner, we'll explore some of the things humans across cultures have always found fascinating, unsettling or inexplicable. Death. Ghosts. Afterlives. Monsters. Superstitions. Strange rituals. Unlucky omens. Halloween traditions. Things that go bump in the night. No cultural expertise required. You do not need to arrive with a dissertation on ghouls or gargoyles. Curiosity is sufficient. Expect a proper Spanish feast, including tapas, paella, suckling pig, churros, sangria and wine, alongside Culture Club’s usual curated conversational prompts and deliberately designed small-group absurdity. Costumes are mandatory. Elaborate, ridiculous, elegant, obscure or extremely low-effort-but-technically-a-costume. Just come as something. A carrot. A cowboy. Or ChatGPT. A yellow shirt and blue jeans/overalls and the declaration that you are a Minion is approximately the minimum level of thematic commitment required. There will also be a prize for the evening's best costume. --- The Evening Date: Saturday, 31 October 2026. Time: 6.30pm–10.30pm. Venue: A private room at a Spanish restaurant in Bukit Timah. Exact details will be shared with approved guests. Price: $149 per person. Dress code: Halloween costume mandatory. Please arrive by 6.30pm. We will begin the evening together, and the opening activities will not be repeated for late arrivals. --- The Format You are very welcome to come alone. Guests will be seated across small tables, and friends and +1s will generally be separated during dinner so that people actually meet new faces. Curated prompts and activities will be woven through the evening to make conversation easier, stranger and hopefully more interesting than: “So, what do you do?” --- The Menu Dinner will be served buffet-style, and includes: - Tabla de la Casa — Three hams, three cheeses, and two cured embutidos - Ensalada de Burrata y Tomates — Creamy burrata with cherry tomatoes and mixed salad, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar - Aceitunas Marinadas — Juicy olives marinated with herbs - Pan de la Casa — Warm sourdough and baguette served with Spanish olive oil and balsamic vinegar - Gambas al Ajillo — Prawns cooked in olive oil, garlic, chilli and the restaurant’s secret sauce - Croquetas de Jamón — Golden croquettes filled with a creamy Spanish jamón filling - Pulpo — Grilled octopus leg served with saffron potato purée and romesco, finished with parsley and paprika oil - Paella de la Casa — The restaurant’s signature house paella, cooked in a flavourful seafood broth with sofrito and packed with prawns, baby squid, fish, chicken and chorizo - Arroz Negro — Black rice cooked in a rich seafood broth and cuttlefish ink, with prawns and baby squid - Cochinillo Ibérico Asado — A whole roasted Spanish suckling pig - Churros con Chocolate — Cinnamon-sugar churros served with warm chocolate sauce and artisan vanilla ice cream Drinks include red and white sangria & wine, and free-flow juices, sodas and tea. Dietary Requirements Please review the menu carefully before registering. The venue cannot provide separate halal, vegetarian or vegan menus and cannot modify dishes. Because dinner is served buffet-style and prepared in a shared kitchen, guests with allergies or medically significant dietary restrictions should also note that cross-contact cannot be guaranteed. --- About Culture Club Culture Club hosts salon-style gatherings inspired by the Enlightenment, spanning film, food, literature, art, music, history, philosophy, and the occasional mild absurdity. Our events are culture-led social gatherings, designed to help people meet through a shared subject or experience. They are not business networking or dating events. Though we grew from a cross-school alumni audience, you do not need to be an alumnus of any particular university — or an alumnus at all — to attend. Registrations are curated to maintain a curious, thoughtful and socially generous guest mix. For more information, previous events, and our mailing list, please visit the Culture Club website. --- Registration Each guest must register separately through Luma. Registrations are subject to approval, and you will only be charged if your registration is approved. Registration does not reserve a place. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please review the event details and Culture Club's General Event Terms & Conditions before registering or contacting the organiser. --- Thirty seats. One strange Halloween dinner. Come curious.
