After two beautiful runs last year, we’re bringing Celebrating Gulzar back to Singapore — the Musafir Collective in collaboration with Tania Mukherjee. ✨ Celebrating Gulzar is an ode to the incomparable Gulzar Sahab — to the worlds he created, the emotions he gave language to, and the songs and stories that have stayed with us across generations. Through theatre and live music, the evening revisits iconic scenes and moments from films shaped by Gulzar’s writing and storytelling, pairing them beautifully with songs from those films and songs written by him. Each piece moves through a different shade of human emotion — love, longing, companionship, loss, nostalgia, silence and everything that often sits somewhere in between. It is not simply a collection of songs or scenes, but an attempt to step into Gulzar’s world — where an ordinary conversation can hold an entire relationship, where a pause can say more than a paragraph, and where poetry finds its way into everyday life.
